Assessing infrastructure is critical in determining the support provided for good teaching. Good infrastructure directly translates in to more possibilities and better realisation of potential. It also enhances the general safety and well being of all inhabitants of the eco system.

In an era where marks, grades and certificates have become passé’, it is the effort on developing Competency and skills that will differentiate educational institutes both locally as well as globally. Such programmes, associated with curriculum makes students and staff capable of managing their day to day activities effectively and achieve more productivity with less resources. For teaching staff, initial education and continuous professional development of the highest quality along with access to support throughout their careers are critical to their performance at work and in society. It is highly important to identify skill requirements of tomorrow, fill in the skills gaps and correct mismatches at an early stage of one’s life. Based on the ‘21st Century Skill’ assessment criteria developed by WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM, the key competency and skills development programme for student success in each institute will be analyzed.

An educated community can contribute to better social environment. Every educational institution has a responsibility to the community around it. Education and opportunity is for everyone, hence the sense of equality among citizens is very important. More the in-built inclusiveness less will be the mental barriers of communal, racial and gender discriminations. The parameter inclusivity and social responsibility measures the institutions ability to accommodate multi gender, multi cultural and multi financial backgrounds under the same roof and provide a healthy environment for everyone to prosper.

This parameter is designed to measure the effectiveness of academic and teaching activities of an educational institution. Percentage of student’s academic success and progressions to the next level with excellence will be assessed systematically.

Redefining all rating standards, GAR focuses more specifically on Protection, Care and Guidance programmes implemented by the institutions. Protection and care system are the need of the hour and it is very relevant based on current social, economic and cultural context. GAR assesses the methodology, systematic approach and effectiveness of such in house programmes.

While most of the other parameters are uni-directional in approach, this parameter is multi-directional. What good are all efforts if it doesn’t translate in to a popular perception among the stakeholders? Here, GAR will assess the effectiveness and the impact of the Institute on all its stake holders through a structured survey.
